Description of Practice

My experience as both an attorney and a psychotherapist brings a unique set of negotiation and listening skills to mediation. I provide mediation services in domestic matters including divorce, paternity, co-parenting, guardianship, and probate.

Professional Background

Mediated state child welfare matters between the Division of Child and Family Services, parents or guardians alleged to have abused or neglected their children or wards, and--sometimes--children represented by a guardian ad litem on behalf of the State of Utah juvenile courts.

Other Information

Provide individual and family therapy, with my focus on adults. I work with clients to address acute and chronic issues involving mood (anxiety, obsessiove-compulsive disorder, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, schizo-affective disorder,) addiction, relationships, family conflict, life and career transitions, grief and loss, parenting, self-esteem, shame, and sleep. I use a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioral (CBT,) eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR,) existential, mindfulness-based (MBCT,) motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, relational, transpersonal, trauma focused, and feminist.
