Craine Family Mediation specializes in all stages of the divorce mediation process and family mediation of all types including Cohabitation and Separation Agreements, and parenting coordination. In addition, Ellen Craine provides counseling to individuals, couples, and families dealing with loss and grief issues related to serious illness, death or divorce. She also provides health coaching for individuals wanting to make a commitment to improving their overall well-being. Ellen Craine has a background in social work providing therapy for children, adults and families as relates to recovery from serious illness, death and divorce. In addition, she has experience as a custody evaluator, mediator, parenting coordinator, consultant and educator in a variety of settings.
Ellen has over 19 years of experience as a divorce and family mediator and over 15 years as a parenting coordinator. In addition, she has over 21 years experience in working with families in a variety of settings.
A JD (law degree) from Wayne State University A Masters in Social work from University of Michgian Special training in Parenting Coordination Special training in Family/Divorce Mediation Special Training in Elder Mediation.

Predominantly a facilitative mediator, Ellen's approach to mediation is to meet the needs of the particpants in the process. The needs of the particpants influence the structure of the mediation in order to encourage self-determination and the fullest level of particpation of all parties as possible.
For mediation cases: There is a free 15 minute phone consultation available to each participant. Then there is a 30 minute in office free consultation. After that the rate is $250 per hour with a 10 hour deposit required at the signing of the fee agreement. This fee is split among the participants in a way that is fair and equitable. Payment can be made by check, cash or credit card. **Credit card payments to require a 4% fee to be added to the payment. For Parenting Coordination Cases: The fee is $250 per hour with a 10 hour deposit required at the signing of the fee agreement. Fees are flexible based on ability to pay. For Counseling: The fee is $150 per hour. Counseling fees are paid at the session. Fees are flexible based on ability to pay. Ellen is considered an out-of-network provider and some reimbursement may be possible if you submit a claim to your insurance company. For Social Work Ethics Consultations: The fee is $200 per hour. For Mediator Ethics Consultations: The fee is $250 per hour. Workshops: Fees are determined by the number of hours and amount of travel necessary. Workshop lengths start at 2 hours.
